February 10   Earl M. Middleton will speak on his book which is to published.

April 13  Bill Behan -   Bill has written two books related to Callawassie Island in Beaufort County - his home is there. The book jacket of one of his books indicates, "Bill Behan was born and brought up in New York.  Now retired, he spent forty-two years in the defense electronics field as an engineer.  Since moving to Callawassie Island in 2000 he has become engrossed in Low Country History."  Bill's topic will be Manning Issac Kirk commander of Kirk's Squadron Partisan Rangers, South Carolina Cavalry during the War Between the States.  Several Colleton County men served under Kirk.
